Possible Solution
For the user experience, I think there could be a warning at the top of the page if there are posts that have expired from cache. This could prevent reading posts out of context / solved threads appearing unsolved.
Something like: "⚠️ some posts in this thread may have expired, click to view the archived thread" which could link to a yarn search that pulls in all the original posts.
Bonus if the system knows exactly how many posts are not displayed and can add that count to the warning.
Open to idea's for a better solution.
